I was able to take 2 on my way out, but I have no editing equipment to process the raws. I might d/l capture one or something and use my laptop here sometime tomorrow. We were right in the middle of it and it was pretty spectacular before it turned scary.
Here are some photos I took of the Foothill Ranch fire. These are all taken from either my front yard, backyard, at the end of my street, or from the other side of my backyard fence.
Taken with a Canon 30D and either a 17-40mm f/4L, 70-200mm f/2.8L, or 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.
