Hi and thanks for comment.
I have the Tamron non-reporting lowest priced AF model and it has worked well in fair light on a 30D and is working excellently now on the MkIIN.

PM me if you are interested in one, as I have 2

Excellent series Dave, these are all outstanding. The eye of Frog is piercing, I also like the Grebe and Ibis. But the Kildeer is the standout for me, great color, detail and exposure on it, super job! Oh, I'm glad you finally caught up to Mr. Turtle.

Well Dave, the Kildeer is right interesting (and probably some of the best Kildeer shots I've ever seen, but that's par for you), but my fave here is the cat. Comp, lighting, textures...and those feline EYES. You've elevated the Kitty shot into Dave's Realm there, my friend. Oh, that the Ibis is to die for, too...

Best Wishes,
Steve

Dave, these are really good!
I cannot believe you got that close to the killdeer, and on it's level too!
Excellent shooting!

Excellent shooting!

Thanks Bonnie. Crawled on my belly for a short distance and she stayed near her nest. I tried not to startle or disturb her too much

Super set, Dave. Congrats on your close-up of the Killdeer. #4's my favorite of those just because of the pose

Some of the best Killdeer shots I have seen Dave.

Crawling on your belly? Were you disguised as a turtle? They never come towards me once they have seen me.

Tony

How about some shots of you crawling on your belly, preferably in an animated GIF.

Glad you popped in Lou....I do "really" worry about snakes, but more about moccasins and copperheads.
