Does anyone have the contact info for Canon Customer Relations?
I sure would like to complain to them about this alleged instant rebate which is really no rebate at all.

FYI, the following are B&H's list prices as of 10/11 (a week ago):
50L - $1359
16-35L II - $1449.95
There's some other factor at play here then, I've been watching the 50L and 16-35 for weeks and I posted the prices that came up for me ($1259 and $1349)
This is nothing new, most of the online resellers have been jacking up prices during the rebate periods for years, even with the mail-in rebates.
Anyone know of anywhere (outside of CA) that has the 16-35mm MkII for less than $1,329? On Nextag Adorama has it listed for $1,339, but when you click the link it's $1,439 with no mention of the rebate yet.

How does $1349.00 sound? KEH.com has it for 1349 after instant rebate. But, I think shipping is $12.00
And Adorama @ Amazon.com its listed for $1339. Link below.
That's strange, as I've been watching the price of the 50/1.2L over the past few weeks and never seen B&H have any retail price on this lens for anything other than $1359 (other than the via the $75 promo coupon)
...you sure you're not comparing the coupon price to the $1359 pre-rebate regular selling price?

I will say though, at $359 brand new, it is probably the best "deal" of all these rebates.
That's a great price, especially for us Canadians,
but these rebates are for US only, yet I can add the flash
to my B&H cart at $359 and specify shipping to Canada.
Too good to be true? Are the rebates that instant?
Just wondering if anybody has additional info on this.
Thanks

I just checked this months issue of Popular photography and B&H has the 100-400L listed at $1410. When I looked at the web site earlier today it was $1310.
No change of prices on Amazon. Oh well, will hang on for a bit longer and hopefully Amazon will offer the instant rebate as well.
Edit:
WTF ??!!?? Looks like Amazon has increased its prices (24-70 L) gone up by about $20 ! All other sellers listed on the side bar as well have raised their prices by $20-$80 ! Crooks !!
Amazon is pretty good at refunding price differences after purchase. So you may want to purchase now before they jack up the prices like everybody else. If they end up not offering the rebate for some reason, you have 30 days to return it.

I believe Amazon's prices are automatically (i.e. by a computer) controlled by the marketplace. If all their competitors raise their prices, they will too, but just enough to stay X% below them, but Y% above their cost. There's no human behind it
