Good Neighbors
This photo was taken during 50+ MPH winds.
The tree had just fallen 20 minutes before, I was 50' away.
Neighbors helped remove it from blocking Tealtown Road.
If they had not come it likely would have been there blocking the road for days..

I hope he is OK, those are life's lessons.
They are fun when they are this age .. they grow old to quick.
Time passes so quickly, days seemed longer when I was younger.

Light on the subject is always nice, even if it results in heavy flaring - sometimes that just adds to the image:

Nice work, kaffeemeister. When I first started taking pictures, the fastest film was Tri-X at 400ASA, and everyone was buzzing about "available light." I always used whatever light was available, bright or faint. Flare is simply a proprty of lenses; it can and should be used to advantage.
