I see this was taken just a few days ago, I do hope whoever it is is well...
Some really nice pictures, Kaffemonster I like the child in the rain, glyons the water droplets are cropped perfectly.
Jazno, real life stuff, Mom is home and recovering, was a long week end in the Hospital. Chrons is her reality. Now she is Fishing to see which one you like, A or B
It's a powerful photo of a very tough moment, Dennis. One of those times when the ground loses it's steadiness, and the normal rules of life give way.
With the wide open aperture you bring the viewer's eye right to the heart of the matter. The medical bracelet dominates the story. It's jarring to realize how something so small as a thin band of plastic can weigh so heavily, and not just on the wrist of the person wearing it.
There is strength and beauty in those hands. The jewelry says that despite situation, there is determination that the good times will be reclaimed. Black and white is exactly the right way to go. It's a time apart from normal, when the lines and shadows are what matter most. It's clear that the photographer has put a lot of love in this image.
I'm sorry that it's taken me this long to discover the photo and realize what's been happening. I've been distracted for the past week and cut way back on my visits to FM. I was very glad to read that Mrs. F is back home and taking it easy. My warmest thoughts are with all of you Fishits.
Suzanne
PS: I prefer the warmth that the hint of color brings to B.
