Yep, that was the same story with one of my 1D II's. 14k and the shutter was showing signs of failure ( light streaks ). Canon repaired for free.
Oh yeah serial was 207---

Definitaly the shutter. Mine is in for repair also this week.

Mine had about 150K clicks before this happened...set it in and it was replaced.

i sold my mkII when it had ~265,000 on it, no problems. Original shutter.

In less than two weeks I had my entire shutter replaced - yes that's what it was. Kudos to Midwest Camera Repair in Wyandotte Michigan. I didn't think I was getting it back that fast, and I need my camera this weekend.

No idea on the cause.
