If you mean the shots of Carlos, the adopted mascot of the Nikon Gear forum, then most definitely Carlos has a lot of character and has interesting backgrounds too.

I use LR 4.
+22 Temp, + Tint (magenta side), add exposure and contrast to taste, extract some highlights, shadows, whites and blacks (about -15 or so) to taste, add clarity. Tone Curve = + Lights, - Shadows. B&W Mix, extract some from all the colors, but add a little of blue, purple and magenta. About +30 or so of Split Toning Balance. Pick purple-ish Shadows and Hue should be about 280.
