I'm in California, how far are you? Are you willing to put up with poor taste photography, but nothing unfriendly to the eye's? I think everyone has character, however, some of us are born with loads, I fall in the neither range by the by!

I disagree. you do have talent, and more important in this day and age, something different to offer. Keep at it.

+1 to this comment. You know how to play with bokeh very well I think.

Thank you very much, everyone! I sometimes can't understand where I went wrong sometimes! I still have not figured out this whole photography scheme, especially the reading of histograms, or how to even use it to my gain! I still can't tell when, or even if, I have taken a technically ok shot! I wouldn't mind uploading some NEF files in order to well express my areas of concern! I do keep the expose to right, over exposure better than under exposure idea, however, I still can't grasp what, if when, my exposure is remotely correct!

Work on DOF and composition. If you are going for creepy it's working so god job. Use a larger aperture to blow out some of the details in the background and focus on your subject or some aspect of your subject/composition. That will increase the affect that you are looking for.

I'm in Indiana. We once threatened those in the camera club who were late with dues to have to photograplh me in a thong. Then they had to make me look good. Everybody paid.

Nobody figures out exposure on their own. One book I found helpful is "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. At your local library or Amazon used for 12 bucks. Peterson makes sense of a highly confusing situation. Trust me on this. Everyone has trouble with exposure at first.

With respect, my take on this thread is that it's for posting what you feel is your very best, as long as it was with a Nikon camera. I come here to be wowed and inspired, and occasionally post an image or two I'm pleased with. You might think mine are crap, I don't know, that's fine. Personally I don't want to see, "my 20 best images from the weekend" or any real discussions other than in the vein of, "OMG I love that image how on earth did you do it", and response.

IMO.

There must be better threads, or you can start one anytime, for individual photographer C&C discussions.

People use this thread to post what they feel are their best pics taken with a Nikon mount camera. There is an expectation of constructive criticism as well.

The key though is they are posting what they feel is their best.

Many people introduce themselves here and that is ok by me too.

I know we have never had the best of relationships Americo, but this is so much better than your dolly things. This is a much better picture, really worth sharing

I guess you just have to get out more of the house and share those

D7000 already has great cropping capability; I am wondering about the 24Mp D7100. sensor.

Last looks a tad front focused AND noisy...just sayin' (this IS your BEST thread, remember)
Personally, I'd master the D7K....before venturing into D7100 land. It's your money.

Sometimes it takes ruffled feathers, to see the down. TM Thanks, Jason.
FWIW, I'm twice the photographer since beginning my tenure here. I owe at least
half that to FM and the rest to practice and my work ethic. My participation speaks
for itself, sad some would rather whine than learn. FM's an incredible resource, not
a popularity contest. I sleep very well most nights. Shoulda been a writer?!
