Because I could not stop for Death He kindly stopped for me The Carriage held but just Ourselves And Immortality. We slowly drove He knew no haste And I had put away My labor and my leisure too, For His Civility We passed the School, where Children strove At Recess in the Ring We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain We passed the Setting Sun Or rather He passed us The Dews drew quivering and chill For only Gossamer, my Gown My Tippet only Tulle We paused before a House that seemed A Swelling of the Ground The Roof was scarcely visible The Cornice in the Ground Since then 'tis Centuries and yet Feels shorter than the Day I first surmised the Horses' Heads Were toward Eternity E.E.Dickinson
If I didn't think your doll pics were creepy before...they do now.

I liked your shots but a bit too conservative on the exposure. Don't let Nikon frighten you away from a bit of clipping highlights.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it! I will give those ideas a try, I kinda rushed to post these, because i was excited about having digital again! I am a reader of many sort, when I have the time, but sadly, these are mostly props, until I have the time to read more! I have been lazy and used audiobooks mostly, but I have been hearing older classics, E.A. Poe, A. Stoker, C. Marlowe, N. Hawthorne, Walpole, J. Sheridan Le Fanu.one short from the Southern Gothic style, W. Faulkner's, A Rose for Emily, A.Radcliffe, E. Dickinson, Emily Brontė's Wuthering Heights falling in the I must reread category! And so on from what is termed "Goth Lit", these are more of my favorite reads, and trying to analyze each story proves insane!! My teen daughter thinks my obsession is odd, can you believe children are taught now and day's, that anything labeled Gothic, is strange, or basically commercial!!
Some faves today. Cold and cloudy but an opening on the clouds comes oppurtunity. No photoshopping, no cropping, raw files just converted in Phase One Capture 7.
Shot with D800 with 16-35 lens.......
When I took this photo, the bottom was 100% pitch black. I said let's see if I can recover what's in there, so I moved the slider in LR and the foreground emerged, like magic!
Here are some strobe practice shots, all the same photo, cropped only! Starring, Emily Ashley Lee Dickinson! #1 is the before shot, please let me know how you feel! Happy photography!
