Shearing on Gunnong Jugrawah on the Murrumbidgee River near Jugiong NSW
First morning. About another 20,000 sheep to go.
It has been 20 years since I was in a working shed .
How times have changed. We in Australia are now in a Nanny state. When I was growing up, before I went away to school I would be all over the Shed at shearing time. If I got in the way and didnt move when asked I would be picked up by one of the Rous a bouts and either popped down one of the chutes where the Shorn sheep get put our dumped in a wool bin. It was all a great adventure
That photo was taken illegally because unless you are employed and insured, you are not allowed on "the board"
How truly pathetic we are getting in the western world when we cannot be trusted to look out for our selves and if we dont, we sue.
Anyhow, for all of you who have never seen a pic taken i a working shearing shed; enjoy
