You may well be right, although I don't know exactly what the issue is. At any rate better it be addressed now than after release. Some prefer to wait six months before buying a newly released camera, for initial bugs to be worked out.
Had no problems with a new 20D I got the first week they hit the stores. Some say the latter 5Ds have less of a dust problem. Hard to say.
Well if there's going to be any announcement, it'll happen maybe just maybe when Golden Week in Japan starts. Golden Week is the third week of May, but I wouldn't hold my breath until the end of the summer.

Golden Week was last week, so do you mean this week when everyone will be back to work?
opps...I got my dates mixed up...So I guess everyone's back to work in Japan...and like I said...I wouldn't hold my breath...just accrue your funds until the announcements are made...I am...
