I can't believe only one person commented on the fluffly dice. (Nice one Avi )

This was a must have feature last week, now its yesterdays news. Sure. Now you'll be telling Nikon you don't want the pin stripes and sassy pink colouring.

I just dream Nikon created a nice FF body with decent specs (above 10Mpixels - good noise handling and especially good colors and contrast), I don't really care about fps (OK, at least 3 or 4 fps would be good enough).
Why ?
Because I WANT MY LENSES BACK !!!
When I purchased the 85 f/1,4D and 28 f/1,4D, I WANTED a 85 and a 28mm... Not a bloody 127 and 42mm ! These are my dream lenses, I still use them with film but I'd love to have at least a D200-like body, just FF...

I bet that Nikon will not announce anything at PMA, let alone a camera. The last time there was this much hype that's exactly what happened. They'll release it when they're good and ready, and when they do, I bet it'll be GREAT!

Whatever it is...

It would be more expensive because it's a new design, not because it's more complicated to make than the 28. It would relate to that lens like the 17-55 relates to the 28-70. It's just DX vs. FF.

If I would buy it? Of course I would. On my list, new, fast primes have much higher priority than any D3, 4, 5, 6 or 7.

I, and most other photographers, will be able to make much better photos with a D40 and a top lens, than with a D-whatever and a lousy lens. We all know that of course, but still, we are hanging out in these forums, discussing if or when that cool new D3XLR will appear, next to the sun, during sunrise.

I must admit that I don't care much about what cameras were used to win prizes in the past. I do care, however, about what camera and lenses I will use to take photos with tomorrow and next years. After DX was launched, Nikon has some big holes in the lens line-up. It would be very nice to see them filled.

Isn't that because Nikon was so dominant in the 60s, 70s, and into the 80s? On hopes the Pulitzer committee members weren't influenced by the brand, and image quality is not always the primary criteria. I felt more confident an F series camera and drive, like one could clonk an antagonist on the head and get away unscathed.

A point one could argue about the D40 is opportunities missed due to lack of AF.

The fact that the winners are "world class photographers" is the very reason they won the Pulitzer. The gear they used may be seen as a contributing factor, but it certainly isn't the reason they won. I'm sure that each of these winners could capture the same stunning moments, regardless of which brand of gear they are using.
