Having read the thread 'm still trying to find the 'credible' part of this report. The 1.11-1.13 is a guess as admitted. It's like finding a piece of paper on the ground with D3 specs scratched onto it and holding it like the holy grail.
One of the lenses to be released is a 85mm f1.1 AFS VR macro that comes with an available adapter for perspective control which also gives it another 17mm focal length when mounted. So it effectively would be a 102mm macro with tilt shift. Interestingly the PC adapter is made almost entirely of metals! with the main body section cast in a mag alloy.

Funny you should mention that. I believe there's a cave light setting on the new camera. Apparently firmware updates are in works for all the older bodies too to make them compatible.
The reason I went to the 5D is/was the ability to use Leica and other lenses on the FF sensor.... For studio work it is my personal best option. The results obtainable with a little care are just remarkable. Being a Nikon guy, though, the whole setup of a 5D is non-intuitive.....Like a piccolo to a violin player.
I adore my D200 outside the studio, and would love to migrate to a NIKON 1.1 near FF format. But. . ..not if I have to leave all my lenses behind. Jmvvho
I'm sure you have the required scrap of paper proving this
hopeful bit of news?? LOL! The roll out price is about that of an off lease Mercedes...LOL

I can't tell if you're pulling our collective leg or not
At any rate, if this 85mm lens update is true, it will be "in demand" judging from the # of 85mm aficionados on DPReview.

It is a good thing Nikon's flash system doesn't suck.
ISO 1600.
You have to take all this chatter with a grain of salt Paul. The closest mortal beings have come to viewing this camera is a version with fuzzy dice for the rear view LCD. But I'm sure it will have squeeky clean ISO 128000

oh, and by the way,
i sure as hell hope one of those 8 new lenses is a 28mm f1.4 AF-S
If the new camera is DX, I hope it's a 20mm f/1.4 AF-S. Actually, I would prefer to have the 20mm f/1.4 AF-S and a D40 rather than a D3XH-whatever and no new, fast WA lens.
I can't believe only one person commented on the fluffly dice. (Nice one Avi )
This was a must have feature last week, now its yesterdays news. Sure. Now you'll be telling Nikon you don't want the pin stripes and sassy pink colouring.
I just dream Nikon created a nice FF body with decent specs (above 10Mpixels - good noise handling and especially good colors and contrast), I don't really care about fps (OK, at least 3 or 4 fps would be good enough).
Why ?
Because I WANT MY LENSES BACK !!!
When I purchased the 85 f/1,4D and 28 f/1,4D, I WANTED a 85 and a 28mm... Not a bloody 127 and 42mm ! These are my dream lenses, I still use them with film but I'd love to have at least a D200-like body, just FF...

Oh man! You cut me deep there Nik. I mentioned it.
