No 1 is really superb. The old worn wooden splines of the boat contrast the vibrtant but faded orange paintwork to give it a lovely sensual "twist". The crisp pebble sand on the beach supports well.....
i don't know why but i don't like #1. #2 is a great shot - love the colour of the sea. #3 i really like too - but i've clone out the blurry fisherman.
all in all - very well done!
I like very much the ghostly atmosphere of the last two photos, brought about by the low light, homogenous and sweet color, and the water textures created by the long exposure. N° 2 strikes through a mix of artificial and natural light, and a very delicate reflection. N° 3 impresses because of the man, half-caught because of the long shutter, and the seawall, a finger of concrete pointed out to the sea.

Hey Mooch,
Nice series... I particularly like the first one for its crispness and clear coloring.
I've been to Hastings and don't remember the water ever being so calm (#2) even after being 'tamed' by the exposure... #3 looks a bit more windy!
What I REALLY like is to be able to have fresh 'fish 'n' chips' after a rewarding shoot like this!

Thanks Stewart . It really was a very calm incoming tide on this night , the waves just gently lapping the beach. Did you enjoy your visit round this neck-of-the-woods ?
I really liked #2 the best. I loved the fishing villages of the UK when I visited there. If I lived there, I think I would be at a fishing village every weekend. There is so much character and life there.

Thanks Jim . The character and life you mention will always exist , but sadly , the fishing industry is a dissapearing one for many of the generations of local fishermen .
