Nothing much...... we have two camelia's, and this is a couple of images from the pink one. This could have been taken with any brand of camera, btw, nothing special required

Jack, are you sure that you could have taken that picture with any camera. I know it would have looked better with a FF Nikon

Thanks Rene! The spritz was real, we had about 2 inches last night.

Jack I can't wait until Nikon releases a FF so that I can take better pictures than you.
In the meanwhile I will just have to content myself to try to get to your level the old fashioned way. Btw ... how is that done

I better just wait for the right equiptment.

#2 is especially fine, fresh lively flower among the more sober leaves, very evocative. BTW hope your show went(is) going well!!

Hey Jack,

Excellant shots! What a cool comparison. I do have to admit that #2 is something special. We have all either taken or seen similar shots to your #1, but the composition in #2 is special and unique!

By the way, you didn't fly these flowers up to Seattle to get the rain on them did you?

Interesting shots, Jack. I find those flowers are tough to shoot, for some reason, perhaps the color. dunno, but they look pretty good in your shots, probably because of the lighting. I like the 2nd one a great deal, nice comp and color.

Ahhh. That explains it .... it was not shot with a fake wide!

I used to have a bush like that at the side of my house. It would always bloom after one of those early warm spells that we get in january here in North Carolina. Beautiful blooms. Beautiful shots!
