Has anyone tried using any Mamiya 645 manual lenses on a Canon DSLR?

I'm currently in love with my CZ 35-70 on EOS with an adapter, and understand the limitations of focusing/metering etc., but i'm curious as to how people have made out with Mamiya lenses

Here's the list of my 645 glass from back when i was shooting for a living (and using film!)

35mm f/3.5, 55mm f/2.8, 80mm f/2.8, 150mm f/3.5, 80mm f/4 macro.

I haven't really pixel-peeped these lenses.. they're from an earlier era.. I do notice, for the most part, they like being stopped down quite a bit.

The adapters are reasonable enough, i should get a few to give them a whirl. Just curious if it's anything worth getting excited about.

Anyone out there shooting mamiya 645 - on EOS?

ARE there adapters to take a Mamiya 645 lens to EOS? Where?!?!?

I always heard about - but never actually saw - an adapter to take a 645 lens to Canon FD but never heard of one for the EOS.

My wife and I are lucky enough to have both a Mamiya 7 system and a 645 Pro set up. COMPLETELY unscientific but my take on these two systems is that the Mamiya 7 optics are far, FAR superior to the Mamiya "C" glass used on the 645. The "snap" - contrast - simply leaves the 645 glass looking like paperweights ...

Again, IMO and as unscientific as one can get. Transparencies - apart from size - can be discerned with the naked eye. No questions whatsoever which came from which camera.

Therefore, if there was an adapter for Mamiya medium format lenses to an EOS, my vote would be for the Mamiya 7 lenses to be fitted up

Ok, I am assuming that the 645 lenses are medium format. Since the image circle is much larger with these lenses, I would think that they would be very benificial for the Canon or any other FF DSLR camera. Since current FF WA lenses seem to have some light falloff in the corners in some examples I have seen based on the extreme angles in which light is hitting the sensor corners, I would think that a 645 lens would allow a more direct (perpendicular to the sensor) light line of sight/impact on the sensor. An adapter for these lenses would be a great thing then.

OR, am I just way off base....

If they are manual focus 645 lenses, it would be possible.

For Mamiya 645 AF lenses, the aperture diaphragm is electrical and there is no aperture ring.
