p.1 #1 · Bruges by night - the sequel

Since some of you enjoyed some of my night shots, here I am again. (I promise this will be the last time for some days ).
I just took my wide lenses again for a short trip in Bruges (10.5mm and 12-24mm mounted on an unusable camera - D70 - since the introduction of the D200 )

Again, all shots are hand held. Just a short explanation: I first thought the ice sculptures were not there anymore, but you can still visit them till the end of this week (see my previous thread about Bruges). The rest are just "walkaround" shots in the city...

Hope you will enjoy the second journey:

#1 Let's have a look through the window

#2 You'll see a chain of pictures

#3 Hold your horses (or better your unicorns), these are just amateur shots

#4 The alchimist is there to bring some magic to the trip

#5 Let's have a break and eat something

#6 After the ice sculptures, back to the contrasts of the city

#7 Just a normal sculpture at night

#8 Dark waters of the Venice of the North

#9 Just a typical shop

#10 and another one

#11 Postcard view (I checked the defished version and I prefer this one)

#12 You can buy some local art from the art gallery

#13 Just another one

#14 And to conclude a last view on calm waters (again I prefer the fisheye perspective here)

Hope some of you enjoyed it again. Man, I like it wide

Guy

Really nice Guy. I enjoyed this series, it's nice to visit other parts of the world without having to fly there . The chain image is my favorite though, I like it's qualities and color!!

I should try Bruge by night... I like you shots, and only visited the city by day until now. Looks good!

Thanks Guy! Now I REALLY feel bad for not going up to Bruges this week...

Also, are you using the "long exposure noise reduction" on the outdoor scenics?

A treat, as usual, Guy!

The chain is a killer... and the horse, IMO, might be improved by some selective PS to get rid of the background at the top.

Wide rules!

Thanks for posting these Guy. Just a joy to look at, and very well done. I do think the ice chain is my favorite of this series. Man, I gotta go wider

As for me the most surprising is the # 1 . I needed some time to figure out what it is & that it's not a negative !!!
Reading again this was ice window helped finally - but play of colour is stunning there !!!

No long exposure, no noise reduction, most pictures have been shot @1/10 1/15 sec order of magnitude, hand held and low ISO (200-640). If I remember well I needed iSO1600 for a few of them, but didn't do any NR PP on the pics.

Guy

BTW thanks to everybody for the very nice comments.
