I considered 24-105 L or Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 and not 24-70 L, I would use the lens als allround (nature, travel...). I am impressed from the review about tamron lens and his 2.8f: great for insidephoto's) but the range is not very all-round.
Do you suggest to by both canon and tamron?
my suggestion is to go with both Canon zooms. first you will not be happy with the wide end on the Tamron, i know it seems like only 4 mm, but on the 1.6x crop body you are using it becomes 6.4mm more in the wide area. obviously i'm showing some partialism towards Canon vs the Tamron, but i've seen just about every Canon 24-70 vs Tamron 28-75 photo comparisons ever posted on the net, and every time the Canon wins in sharpness and color production.
if you buy the Canon 24-105 and the Tamron 28-75, do you think you will be happy with trying to edit the Tamron images to match the colors of the Canon 24-105?
if only buying one of the above lenses then you have to ask yourself what you really need?
