Well I down loaded two of the images and all I can say is WOW They are jpg's with only moderate sharpening taken at iso 800. I am sure glad I am in the top ten of my pre-order list. This is going to be one hell of a camera for the price.
OK, I viewed them . No big surprises and about what I expected at this stage from various samples on the web.
I`m gonna save any judgement till the legitimate samples and reviews materialize.
Thanks for sharing though.
John
Obviously, there are no official sample pictures in this country of the new camera which still has not hit the market. I just imagine all the expectations out there!
If these are images of the D200 at ISO 800 I have to conclude these are awesome captures. I certainly would like to see them enlarged to 12x18, my most common enlargements and if they still look good, Nikon has a great camera in their hands.
We already know that the exposure meter and the software are those of its big brother the D2X and we know how capable the D2X is.
I have said it before but will repeat it again, this has to be a hell of a camera.

I don't really know. Maybe it's some kind of **algorithm** thing-e
that kicks in when you switch your cameras ISO to a certain level.
And maybe some individuals do not like the result the **algorithm** thing-e does to the quality of the photo. Oh well...I don't honestly know. There
I've said it.

On the D2X, every image above ISO 400 is put through noise reduction, even if you turn it off. The only way to avoid this is to shoot RAW and process in Photoshop (although I think NC will leave it out, but I havent tried it)
