p.1 #1 · Am I being snobby? D100, S3, D1X

Ok.. my D1X has had a problem and now it needs to be fixed.

But after spending so much time on this camera, I look at my D100 ( a camera system that I used to love more than anything).

So now I have a D100 I should be using as my backup (I mean that is what I bought it for), and I don't want to. I want my D1X.

Now.. comes the rub. I have also have to be somewhat practile. This is portrait season and the S3 is slow but an excellent image maker. With the price dropping again for new, I am hoping that the used prices will do the same-- making a used D1X and S3 about the same.

So...should I just keep my D100 (a great image maker which I already own and is barely used) and stop being snobby or am I right in wanting more?

From my personal experience, nothing even comes close to the look of the images that come out of the S3. It's just slow, which is why I sold mine.

See, I don't need fast. The only sports I shoot are my kid and pro teams for fun.

When the D1X is back from the shop I will have it fast enough.
