Congrats, and the use of bathroom counter is creative. I used whiteboard as studio backdrops for some locaiton portraits...

The problem was indeed the silent wave motor, which Nikon did replace for $180.

So $180 was all it costed? I thought it was more like $233 or something like that...

It was $179.00 for the repair itself. There were then tax and shipping charges, which brought the total for everything itself, to $208.36 or so, excluding my original shipping charge of $17.00.
