Thanks Jericho,

I took this at a stable near my house. Just to clarify, I don't live on a farm and there aren't really any farms all that close by to me, but there is this one stable that is right on one of the main roads. It has some really awesome stuff there and I finally got to go shoot the place.

The rest of the shots are here:

Thanks again for the compliment!

Were you joking or does the D70 really have custom modes? I didn't think the D70 had that. Can you explain further?

No, it was just a joke. Sorry, I wish it had custom modes.

Shouldn't this be cropped more tight for stonger impact? You loose lot's of attention off the horse which is a key of the pic for me. Very good moment captured though :-).

What would you crop? Please feel free to make adjustments and repost the image.

I'd crop the top wall & ground below to make it more panorama like (if you want to keep both windows & symetric composition), or
crop a horse and the door only (for unsymetric composition), or
a horse in the window itself
Crop & composition is a matter of personal taste, in generall try to exclude all that does not support the main subject.
It depends what is the subject for you: a stable or a horse itself.

Thank you for the suggestions. I knew when I took the shot that it was a bit of an unusual composition, I think that was what I liked about it. I took a look at a couple of different crop options, and I think it is okay if I cropped off the left window and some of the top, but I still preferred the original. To me there is just something about it that I liked, can't really describe exactly what it is, but I just liked it this way. Thank you for taking the time to comment though, I appreciate your input.

Thank you for the compliment Daniel! By the way, I haven't been on the board too much lately, but I remember seeing your work a couple months ago and it is truly fantastic. The compliment means a lot coming from you.
