p.1 #1 · DVD Covers

Hey folks,

I designed my first DVD cover last night. This is the kind to slip inside the plastic of the exterior of an empty slim line DVD container.

My question pertains to the printing. I have a new Epson R200 (so I can print directly on a printable DVD as well). Do any of you use a special kind of paper for this? Do you farm it out to Staples or elsewhere?

Thanks for your help,
Paul

Paul,

I've been doing my CD/DVD inserts for some time now.

I've always used the Fellows/Neato (matte) Jewel Case Inserts. #99946.

Since I've been using Indesign for the layout (with a template), it can get a bit difficult at times to get my cover image exactly where I wasnt it to print.

I recently bought disclabel ... but have yet to do a layout in it.

Thanks for the reply John.

How do you print these inserts though? What kind of paper do you print on?

Anyone else?

As indicated, I print the inserts on the Fellows/Neato jewel case inserts ... part #99946. It's a matte finish paper.

The sheet is laid out so that the printed insert is torn from the sheet.

Sorry ... I just realized that I gave you the site for the CD/DVD rather than the insert.

Go here: http://www.neato.com/neato_prodtest_sub.asp?class%5Fid=%5FCDINSERT&cat=%5FJEWELINSERT&mscsid=GPH3XMB016W38MUBC1D5TRUBM2P72LNE

I print them on my Epson 1280 as I would any other letter size sheet.
