p.1 #1 · On Brand New 1DsMK.II...

What's a reasonable shutter count I could expect to see the first time I fire some shot off with a blank CF with nothing on it.

I always thought there would be a few clicks probably from the factory when they were testing it? Is that true?

Thanks.

A new camera from the box should be totally new, like 0 acutations.

Canon mass produces their camera and therefore does not test every camera as it rolls of the line. The ones they do test get reset i heard anyway so people cannot tell.

Mine was all sealed in the box, and I saw it come out of a sealed Canon 'outer' box. No one at the shop had chance to play with it. It had 22 clicks on it.

Thanks Chris, Dave, I guess it varies. So I guess under 100 is kinda expected and I shouldn't be getting one with more clicks than that.

By the way Dave, did you use any software to get an accurate count? Or was it just a matter of slapping on a memory card and taking a shot to find out?

Thanks for the info.
