Never fear; whether responses get posted or not has a sizeable number of uncontrollable variables. Things like time of day, day of the week, how fast new posts are showing up at the portal and consequently how long your offering will be there for people to notice---they all seem to make a difference. When some folks get no reaction to their posts, they'll help the process along by giving them a little "bump," by posting a remark or two.
