yeah many times the last page is blank for me.
It's a matter of timing combined with the way that this forum software works... when the last page is full, a new page is created and made the last page, even if there's no posts to go on it yet.
Passed the one million view mark - first time I ever saw that on a message board! I guess I should post a studio shot or something to celebrate - Let me see.....
That is actually a music video shot under the pretext of a photo shoot so that is why the lighting is just there for looks with old barndoor hot lamps for the video. That video came out great and should air in late fall for those here in Canada.....
Another "phony shot" and I actually did a little round-house video taping for fun and actually got used in the final cut.....
Actually guys, I am just packing my Nikon and video camera's for a photo/video shoot at a rather famous recording studio here in Toronto. Here is a horrible shot from one video camera to another. This "studio" work is challenging as I can't use the really hot lamps because of possible interference with the studio equipment and the lighting is always dark. Not exactly just still photography here, but a fair percentage of you guys are in the photo/video business like I am.....

Well, after some REALLY good advice on high-key lighting from some of you, I decided to overtake the family room, invite a few friends over, and have a go at doing it "right".
Hello everyone! I'm new to the board and hoping to learn a lot from the many photographers who post ideas and comments. I haven't get a studio yet but I have been contemplating putting one together for some time. Any ideas on must have equipment would be greatly appreciated

On your post on page #188 (whew!!), I was wondering about the bag you have your gear in.
Where'd you get it? Thanks!
That is the Impact bag sold at B&H Photo. He told in another thread, but I can't remember which one, but if you look closely you can see impact on the lower right front of the bag.
Man I just made it 206 pages in a week. 4 days. Took a while to get threw it.. All of your pictures are amazing! I have been so inspired by this thread. Since I started reading this thread I have purchased A monforto light stand/ full body photoflex liteDisk/ umbrella flash bracket/ ST-E2 transmitter/ and a Wescott convertable umbrella. I went and planned out my studio kit and I have decieded on Hensel integra kit 2x 500 heads and 1x 250 head and some pocket wizards. I thank you all for your imput and can't wait to post my little studio up too. This thread was a excellent idea!!! let keep it up!!
Whew! Okay...I've officially read through the entire thread on studio setups and have had quite an education. Looks like I will need to invest some serious $$ if I want to add studio work to my ever-growing hobby in photography! For the time being though, here's my studio:
I have two B800's and one B1600. I was earlier using two b800's are foreground umbrella images and using one as a hair light. But now i plan to use the b1600 as the one for my softdome and one for the background light( or two )
I have a question though ?
Where can i get a seamless background which is not paper, i tried muslin but it gets all those crevices, and my paper somehow gets torn all the time.
Also what is background light, is it behind the muslin or i just put two umbrellas in front of the paper and overexpose it by two stops just to get a differentiation. I asked couple of people, but no one seemed to give me a consistent answer.
Thanks,
Jitesh
