Official: Hasselblad X1D-50c Medium Format Mirrorless
The new Hasselblad X1D-50c was officially announced today. It's the first mirrorless medium format camera ever produced and boosts Sony's 50MP sensor (33x44mm). The X1D weights only 725g and it's smaller than most 35mm SLR bodies. The high res touch screen controls most camera functions, and the electronic viewfinder (EVF) boosts a 2.4MP resolution.
Images will benefit from 14 stops of dynamic range and full 16-bit color depth. Thanks to the use of Leaf Shutter lenses, flash synchronization works with its full shutter speed range up to 1/2000s. It has dual SD Card Slots; XPan/Square Modes, WI-FI, GPS and it's compatible with Hassy HC and HCD lenses through an optional adapter.
Pre-order: B&H Photo | Adorama

Also announced are two 2 XCD Leaf Shutter lenses:

Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/3.5 Lens (35/2.8 full frame equivalent)
Pre-order: B&H Photo | Adorama

Hasselblad XCD 90mm f/3.2 Lens (70/2.5 full frame equivalent)
Pre-order: B&H Photo | Adorama

My guess is that email went out a little early

Interesting though, I wonder what the lens mount is?

I think so too. It would be interesting to know the specs and eventually the performance.

Interesting. Prices are even reasonable!

The lenses could be slightly faster though.

That's how I feel about the very expensive H lenses for sure. But if these half-the-H-series prices are true, I will be much more understanding (plus, it might even mean some more expensive, faster alternatives are a possibility).

I think it is interesting, but I am also having a sigh of relief because those lenses don't excite me

I'm curious about the EVF specs. I would definitely feel that, with such a camera, I'd have an expectation that the viewfinder would be large and bright (and high-res, of course).

Hmm, so this is the 50MP sensor, crop factor about 0.8? So these lenses are around 35/2.5 and 75/2.5 equivalent.

Is the 45mm lens a normal lens in the medium format sense - does 45mm indicate the diagonal of the sensor surface?

Diagonal of 33mm x 44mm would be 55mm.

I would expect the same EVF as the Leica SL at the very least.

I hope this is a glimpse in to Fuji's rumored medium format camera.

Anybody want to take bets on whether Hasselblad made the same mistake Sony made with the E mount and this mount and these lenses only cover the 3.3x4.4 sensor and will barely work if at all in the future when it becomes affordable to make 6x4.5 sensors?

Well, given that the sensor is barely visible behind the mount, I'd say they've committed to this size and nothing larger.
