p.1 #1 · Thumb up for Greentoe with Big White lens (400mm DO mkii)
I've been looking for canon 400mm DO mk ii for awhile and couldn't find any used one. I know CPW has vendor sells for $6500. I contacted CPW and also reached out to Andrew at Greentoe. Within mins, Andrew replied back that not only he can match but also beat it by $100 less. It was a done deal in 10 mins via txt message. I got my brand new 400mm DO mk ii the next day for $600 less than buying from BH. The lens shipped out directly from Profeel (Canon Authorize dealer.)
I've have done business with greentoe in the last few years and they haven't fail me. Great price and great service by Joe/Andrew.
So, for anyone that looking to get new canon big white, give greentoe a try. There are alternative for your lens shopping.

Nice, I've had similarly speedy dealings with Greentoe. But just a heads up...I'm pretty sure Greentoe prefers that you don't mention who supplied the product to you. I think it's for the retailer's protection in case they sell for a price lower than UMRP. Might want to edit your post just out of respect.

Same thing with the street deals from CPW. Just keep the info on the DL.
FWIW You don't necessarily need to deal through Greentoe (or even CPW) in order to get a good deal. Some of the companies will deal with you direct and you can get the same type pricing just by asking.

Congrats.
Yeah, I'd take the vendor out of the post to keep the dream alive for others.
I did call vendors a couple years back for my 600mm and found one with a significant discount.

Authorized dealers are allowed to sell products what whatever price they want, the MAP only applies to advertising - they can't ADVERTISE a lower price than what Canon allows.
