p.1 #1 · D70 Driver on Windows 2000

I am sorry if this questions sounds too basic, but I am facing problem in downloading the pics from D70. any help would be appreciated

Problem:
When Camera is connected to PC and switched on, Windows shows driver as not proper and suggests to reinstall the driver. I tried following
1. Install Driver from Winnt/system and system32,

oes not work
2. Install Driver from Nikon Picture view CD : Does not work
3. update Windows with ALL lates updates : Does not work

Please help, I am in very bad shape, imaging u have first pics with ur new camera and cant download

The best solution in my opinion is buy a USB2 card-reader!

They work very well with Windows 2000 and you can keep it connected to your PC! IMHO it's probably the best �20 investment: no more messing around with cables from your camera to PC, keep your camera in your bag... just take the CF/card.

Besides that.. it seems that the D70 USB connector only provides USB 1.1 speed.. (have a look at http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/nikon_d70_pg8.html) so with this cardreader you�ll be able to transfer files on a higher speed!

It sounds like your camera is set for PTP under the USB options menu. The "M" (mass storage) setting is required for Windows 2000.
