Tracking was spot on sir! I don't think I have ever seen such a tiny pupil and a look of an Eagles eye like that in #10. You got some great fractional freeze frames here buddy, very cool

Super sequence Eric. It looks like this older male is starting to go black making it about 35 years old. They don't live much longer than this in the wild.
Morris
Thanks for the info as well as the nice words. I didn't realize they lived that long...quite amazing for a wild hunter

Great sequence! And I was going to ask about the dark areas on his head, but Morris' post has the answer.
Thanks and I too was wondering about the feather coloring...must be starting to use Just For Eagles.
Awesome set Eric Like i told you in my text we all pray for the head on pick up, they do not happen often, you nailed it . Morris may be half correct 35 years is a very big reach for this bird. They do start to change to a darker color with age but this bird was in an altercation and took some talons across the head. And may even be blind in that eye.I have seen him a couple of times but no good images of it to date.I will be on the look out over the next few weeks

It looks like you've figured out the technique required for " The Pond". These are great!

Awesome set - that poor eagle does look like he/she has been through the school of hard knocks.

Awesome sequence Eric. I'm going to have to take partial credit for this since the eagle obviously waited for me to step away from my camera
Glenn
Glenn, I'll give you 100% of the credit...this sequence was for Canon shooters only
