p.1 #1 · D70, sb-800, radio slaves, syncing

I did a wedding this weekend with a D70 as one of my cameras. I light the reception with white lightnings with a radio one remote that plugs into my x sync. Of course, the d70 has no x-sync terminal, but I do own an as-15. The problem is that it is too dark in the reception hall to not focus using the infared of the sb-800. I wound up just putting my lights on light sensitive slave and when my flashes went off, they would as well. Of course, they would also go off whenever anyone else flashed a picture. Luckily it wasn't a wedding full of the "papparazzi." Is there a way for me to keep my sb-800s ( I had one on camera and one in my hand, and the combination of the reception lights and two sb-800s made amazing reception photos, just in case anyone wants to try a setup like this) anyway, keep my sb-800 connected on camera AND get my radio transmitter plugged into my camera?

I just had a brainstorm that I could put the pop flash on commander and use the as-15, but i really like controlling the output of the handheld flash. Plus that would lose the infared. I have the cord (sc-29) for the sb-800 too, but that still takes away the option of the as-15.

Any suggestions, or anybody know something I don't??

Check out the SC29 off camera cord. It has an infrared focusing assist.
