I'm with MazeRunner here. If a D5 ups the resolution then I will be in. That said, I am really looking forward to user reviews of the 4S. For some I am sure the upgrade will be worth it.
It looks like the D4s has better sharpness, better AF, more accurate exposure and more accurate WB than the D4. Definitely, the dynamic range is superior too at high ISO.
D4s, 200/2 VRI, @f/2, 2200 ISO. AF-C & Group Area AF.

How far away from the bird where you when you took the picture? Was this picture cropped? Do you ever shoot with longer lens Such as the 400 or 600. If you do I would like to hear how the D4s performs with them at long ranges such as 200 to 300 yds.

For this uncropped image, the bird was at 5.3 metres away.
For the long ranges such as 200 to 300 yds, I will one day take my 600 VR out for some photos of the surfers on the beach...

Hopefully the 'more accurate exposure and more accurate WB' will be simply a firmware update for the D4.....
Can anyone confirm whether the Really Right Stuff BD4-L (L-Plate for Nikon D4) fits the new Nikon D4S? I am hoping that someone that actually has both (BD4-L and the D4S) can try them to check the fit. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info, I'll be looking forward to hearing from you once you've tried out your long lens with the D4s.

I'm in.
NPS preorder. We'll see how that works out because I have yet to get a response from them. Maybe I'll just get a call from my camera store one day, telling me it's in, I don't know.
It will be interesting to see if I see any differences between the D4s and the D4.
I know there are differences between my D4 and my D3s's and definitely between the D3s and the D3. I use the D3s's for remotes now and the D3 will be a sacrificial net cam.
Got my NPS order letter and My D4s come tomorrow...
