p.1 #1 · Fujifilm Australia: camera warranties are international
Hey guys, in case you're planning on ordering fuji gear from another country, below are some extracts from an email communication I had with a Fujifilm Australia Help Desk Rep:
Almost all of our cameras even purchased overseas do come with international warranty.
You are more than welcome to share this information. We do advertise international warranty on our cameras except Instax.
Please do make it clear though that the customer asks the retailer that the warranty card does not state the repairs are designated to a specific country, This has only come up 3 or 4 times in the past 3 years but it is something to be aware of.
If you happen to be using a big retailer you should be perfectly fine however we highly recommend purchasing from Australian retailers for our products as you will receive better service and have some leniency on warranty repairs that overseas purchases will not.

So, as I read this, does this imply that if someone in the US buys a camera from Canada, then the general policy is cameras come with international warranties....or is this Australia specific?
p.1 #4 · Fujifilm Australia: camera warranties are international
I would guess it is not Australia specific (otherwise what's the point of an "international warranty") but just to be on the safe side it might be worth cross checking with a US Fuji help desk, before importing from Canada.

I would always buy Fuji here now (and Panasonic too) but for one MAJOR limitation: cameras sold here have the PAL frame rates for video (50,25), and local importers cannot get the 60, 30, 24fps models I need. Otherwise with their great warranty policies and excellent prices, why not?

What does that mean? If it's a warranty repair, it's a warranty repair, no?
