It is beautiful but at F22 you should be losing some overall sharpness to diffraction. If you can, take it again at F8 and again at F13 and compare with you F22 shot and see.
But since you're asking for C&C, I think it's just a tad off-level.
I'd also love to see a few alternates where the tallest peak wasn't dead-center, but I have a feeling this was the best choice, anyway.
Or maybe, now let's get radical: Move the clouds over to the right or left a little bit. so they're framed by two different peaks. Or maybe just raise them a little higher. - and then of course also move their reflections in the water.
We are leaving Missoula today for this area. Your image has my anticipation heightened. Normally I prefer shooting @ F8... Do not have a reason other than I like the IQ @ that stop. Jim
Yes, why f/22?? No need for that, especially since it brings serious diffraction into the mix. No need to go above f/8 with this lens when you have no foreground elements that need to be in focus. I like this classic image but I'm sure you could have walked away with a sharper image if the lens was opened up a bit.
1) Why f22, cause I wanted max depth of field and sharpness.................. but yes the forground is far enough away I could have backed it off some. I need to read more about diffraction and understand it a bit better. I am just an amature working on skill level and technique. This is one of the sharpest photo's I have ever taken, in part because I now have a new & decent tripod. Anyone want to buy the 3 cheep ones I tried first By the way, the full size photo at 7600 X 3200 (not downsized for posting) has incredible detail. I think it will make a nice 20 X 48 canvas print.
2) Branches on the right - ARG. The wife wanted them completely cropped out and I wanted to extend the photo more to the right and include more of the right hand shore line, to bring your eye into the photo. I agree the few are distracting, more shoreline or no branches would probably work. But agree that how it is causes distractions.
3) Moving the tallest peak off center is an interesting observation. I had that thought last night, maybe I will play with it more in the next day or two.
4) Weather, arg!!!!! The 1st 3 mornings it was cloudy, raining, or both. This popped out the 4th morning when we left. I left my girls sleep in.

Hey, you did it! I definitely prefer this version.
- but it would be good to also leave the original & see what others think of the change.
I didn't have my browser window open enough to the right, and was further zoomed-in than last night, so I was actually seeing the pic with part of the right-side cropped off. I noticed that those branches "were gone" and the peak was over to the right a bit, and figured you changed it.
- and FWIW: It looks great that way! - but that's a lot of real estate to lose. It looks almost as good (to me) with just a little shaved-off of the LEFT side, (just past those two little white dots on the shoreline) and the result is much more panoramic.
