Thanks for the comments.
Yes, the hairdo gives away the time (for those who like such things ).
And I also don't like the idea of animals in captivity.
The US still has about 30 parks where captive dolphins are studied (often for the betterment of the species) and where they are trained and perform for the public.
Turkey has 5 such parks.
In recent years the US and other western nations have drastically reduced or stopped the collecting or trading of wild dolphins. There are breeding programs that take the place of collecting them from the wild.
Many other countries do not practice this.
In the interest of looking at both sides of the question, I use myself as an example: Until I went to my first "dolphin show" I knew little about these amazing animals, and I probably had no thoughts for or against collecting them from the wild. But seeing them up close caused a chain-reaction in my thinking.
I'm not an activist (about anything- although I actively exercise my right to vote), but I'm aware that good zoos and marine parks take good care of the animals, and utilize breeding/trading programs so that it isn't necessary to capture animals from the wild. They also have extensive educational programs for people to learn about and appreciate non-domestic animals.
All that said, I simply posted a photograph of a scene from years ago.
I have no political agenda.
