My company were lucky enough to be offered VIP tickets to the UCI World Cup this weekend. Having never been before I was amazed at how small the track is and close the fans are.

The down hill was 2.8km and riders were making it down in about 5 minutes!

First time shooting these guys and I found it much harder than motorbikes, probably the same as ice hockey though. All taken with a 40d and 70-200mm except 3 & 5. C&C appreciated.

The first three are a bit bright and as you said the third one is out of focus. Other than that good job. Nice action.

Thanks, I was trying to expose for the rider, but it did result in really bright backgrounds which i wasn't happy with when i tried to rescue them in LR.

I saw some folks using flash, but I figured that would be too distracting for the riders so didn't want to do that.
