p.1 #1 · M4/3 lens work (on rumored) mirror-less FF?
I am scaling down from my Nikon FFs to my Olympus OMD - I have the 25/45 lens - would like to add the 12 and 75 - BUT I don't want to limit myself to just one m4/3 cameras. I know Olympus and Panasonic lens are interchangeable - can these lenses be adapted to say, the Fuji X-E1? or other similar m4/3 cameras? Secondly,If a FF mirror-less camera comes out in a small form factor, as is rumored, do you think that the current m4//3 lenses be adaptable to those cameras or do we have to buy a whole new set?
p.1 #3 · M4/3 lens work (on rumored) mirror-less FF?
m4/3 is a 2x crop in terms of sensor size from a full frame sensor so m4/3 lenses are designed to just cover that much smaller sensor. There is no way a m4/3 lens could work on a FF sensor and provide full coverage.
Additionally they will not work on any APS-C sensors like the Fuji X series.
Someone might make an adapter that could physically mount them but you'd have lots of vignetting and also there would be no AF, and since there is no aperture rings on m4/3 glass, you'd also be stuck using them all wide open.
