Doesn't need anything too special or fast, but fast cards are pretty darn cheap so doesn't hurt to get one

Sandisc Extreme 45 mb/s 16 gigs are like $18 on Amazon

I think I saw the Sony SD card are on sales at B&H. In case of problems with the card, you can download and use the recovery software from Sony, which only works with Sony cards.
