p.1 #1 · Sibling Session (Families)

A family session from this past weekend turned into a sibling session. So while it was not what we expected we still had a blast with these two. Could not ask to have easier kids to work with.

Very nice mate.
Parents will be very happy.

Nice work. A few nits:

#6 has a HUGE amount of OOF at the bottom and bright backgrounds. I'd prefer to crop these in closer to solve both issues.

#8 has a lot of bright, boring sky above her. Again, a crop would keep the attention on her, rather than the sky.

#10. How important is it to show all of the house and the flower pot? When you do include all of that, the subjects get very small in the frame.

Thanks for all the comments.

Jim - #6 and #8 were done intentionally. I do think it works better in #8 - but I think it is just my taste!

#10 - I did deliver a tighter crop as well. I just like the looser one for some reason

Hate the processing. Too contrasty, loss of detail and texture, poor transitions from light to dark, harsh looking.

I like most of them, but I'm not a fan of the BG in 9 - I think that the garden bed/flower pot competes with the subject, and turns these into 'snapshots'.
I don't mind the wider view in 10

Thanks for the comment. I have been moving to more contrast as I have found clients really like it.

It's possible there is a better middle ground though!

Very good point about 9. Got caught up in the idea and should have slowed down at that point.

Thanks for the comment.

Same here, lots of photographers like the muted flat tones thats going around especially in the wedding forum but I've noticed when i deliver images with more color and contrast that clients are much more "happy" and receptive than when I deliver the muted flat toned images that have that "film" "fashion" look to them.

besides the busy back grounds in some of them I do like the images, good job man,
