p.1 #1 · Rugby, what's the best vantage point?

I'm shooting some rugby matches later today. I have access to anywhere around the field, and have the following equipment available: Canon 7D, 70-200 2.8, 1.4 & 2.0 extenders.

Where should I park my chair (arthritis has me somewhat immobile) & butt to get the best shots? Keep in mind that I know very little about the game.

Forgot to mention that the weather is "partly cloudy".

Thanks in advance for your comments & suggestions.

Rugby is fast action, moving sport, I will shoot it from many different vantage points, From the 22, half way, and behind the try line. I usually wait for the action to come to me, and will sit on the ground for most shots, but sometime get in the stands and shoot down. Forget the 2.o converter, images will be soft, use the 70-200 set at f4, since you will want more DOF for rugby, not always, but usually since there is so much contact. Wait till they are within 50 yards and have fun. Center point focus pip as well, The other modes will fail as they select the nearest contrasting point, and that usually doesn't work too well. Post some images, be patient and learn from those who will help you. great site to learn.
