All B+W is premium but there are different levels. You want something that is multicoated like a modern lens. B+W calls this 'MRC'. Their 'Kaesemann' line are their highest quality polarizers. For wide angled lenses some say to go with the Slim MRC filters. YMMV. The standard Kaesemann Slim MRC has no threads on the front so if you want to attach an ND filter you would screw the ND on first and then the polarizer. The XS-Pro Kaesemann MRC has threads in the front so you dont have to go through that an you can just screw the ND filter to your polarizer.
Polarizers are great if you shoot anytime dureing the day outside of dusk/dawn or in areas with alot of reflection.
There is always a chance a filter gives a particular lens an issue. This is dramatically reduced by purchasing high quality filters. B+W, Singh-Ray, Lee make high quality filters to name a few.
The one you listed seems to be old stock and not multi coated. Might work fine but you can get all the modern coatings and a thin filter (less chance of diffraction) for <$100. I would buy the best once.
