I am looking for a backpack for urban trips. I already have a LowePro Compu Trekker AW, which is big and has plenty of room for my personal items as well.
The problem is it is too bulky, so I've ended up carrying one of those hydration backpacks instead.
1. It is light
2. It is thin, and it can be placed on top my carry-on bag.
3. It can take a 5DMKII, a 70-200mm F72.8L, a Zeiss 35mm f/1.4ZE, a Zeiss 21mm f/2.8ZE, a Canon 580EXII, a folded umbrella, two pairs of glasses in their cases, and a small diary where I record my trips.
The problem is twofold: The equipment is not properly protected, and handling items inside a full bag is difficult and you have to be careful when getting your hands out of the bag.
I might cope with eventually having to check in my luggage, and carrying my camera bag as a carry-on bag, but I don't want to sport a bulk on my back. There is a Kata Minibee ul-111 which looks nice based on specs, but I'm afraid it may be too bulky, and I already have a bulky bag.
