I shoot cars... not people... but somehow a person ended up in front of my lens... and a strobe appeared...

D700, 85 f/1.4D, B1600 turned all the way down with a small PLM with a cover over the face... fake softliter style.

I forgot about this... f/1.4 using light from modeling lamps in the ABR800 at full power... i think this was something stupid like iso1600 still

first one so so.

the second has an interesting light quality that I think could be really cool but the composition with the legs is a bit off.

The lighting in #1 is mediocre. It's underexposed and far too cool for my taste. Shadows on her face leave my eyes wandering instead of engaging.

I love the shot in #2, but I think stopping down to like f/5.6 of even f/8 probably would have been best. The out of focus knee on the right (her left) is making my eyes bug out a little bit due to the pattern. But I do love the lighting in #2, although her lackluster post is a little too lackluster.
