Finally got my lens back from Nikon.
Lack of communication is my main complain.
Much to my astonishment, they sent a $8500.00 lens and 500.00 TC back UPS with no signature required, just drop at the door . What are they thinking ??

The paperwork indicated B1 repair - adj focus motor, adj VR.

One of my main issues was lack of sharpness at longer distances. That problem definitely seems to resolved .
I went out trying to find some birds to test on, but no luck. The only thing I could find was small things.

So, the 500mm does macro as a test

I still need to do more testing and test with the TC , but so far it seems better.

good to hear, may be time for me to do the same, send mine in as i have the same problem with distance shots and the tc

good to hear things worked out for you. i like your first shot best.

kinda hard to imagine they would just dropped it off on the door step and not require a signature.
