My son participated in a church little league baseball this year. This photo was taken at the end of their last game of the year. I rather enjoyed watching the little guys playing this year.
Actually no fence at all.. The cleaner the background and foreground the better... And if in sunlight have them tilt their caps back so their eyes are not in shadows.
These type of shots are for showing the team and every player on it. Clearly. So a group shot with a clean non-distracting background is a good choice.
Creative photography is a good thing, but is this the place for it? You have 20 customers (plus the grandparents) and you have to set out to please them all.
I see your "through the fence" shot as an interesting part of a photo series.
