Hi, Im still getting to know my new camera/back setup so I decided to head out to the west part of PR to try it out in a location I scouted the week prior. This is a well photographed location but its tough to photograph well using a single capture. Most people take a few shots exposed for different parts of the image. This is a single image capture. Processed using C1 Pro 7. I used 3 Tiffen glass filters. One 4 stop ND and two 2 stop soft grad ND's. The contrast in this scene was huge since there was very little light bouncing back and the sky was a bit cloudy overhead also. I don't recall the aperture, I believe it was f11 or f16.
What a beautiful location. Man... you were sure stacking filters! But the end result is it worked out as the shot looks great. I thought #1 looked good, perhaps a hair bright. But #2 looks fine too, they are different, and I think either one viewed by themself would be great. So perhaps for me a version in between the two would be great.
Again, great work on this one, that is one sweet looking arch.
I noticed that the darker version was also cropped. I definitely like the new exposure but some of the cloud movement and colors were cropped out from the top. On my monitor, both versions also have a small green-tint bias.
Your bird's eye view angle creates a very interesting scale effect.
PS: It must be frustrating to present your medium format 60MP image on the web! I can only imagine how detailed this image really is.

Hi, you are right. I am just starting to use Capture One and don't have dialed in just yet. Here I did some more adjustments looking at the histogram and the image. I think it looks a lot more like it was when I was there. But I am pretty sure the ND filters are causing some slight color shift.
