Here is something you don't see every day.

Our daughter was fortunate enough to witness this and took this picture of a King Snake coiled around the head of a Water Moccasin.

Later the King Snake began swallowing the Moccasin. He had the Moccasin's head in his throat when our grandson who is in the first grade entered the scene. He shot the Moccasin with his little Daisy BB Gun and the King Snake took off.

This picture was taken using her cell phone.

Your kids are braver than I am- highly doubt that I'd have been standing anywhere near that scene!

Not something we see every day. Too bad the king snake didn't like to have the cotton mouth dispatched by someone else but maybe not swallowing some lead along with the snake is better anyway.
Maybe next time invoke The Federation's prime directive

Nice set of shots I love it. The snake that is being eaten is not a water moccasin though but rather just a water snake. Cool pics anyhow though.

Hahaaa .. I bet is was quite a sight to behold mitesh. My daughter's neighbor was looking out her doorway.
