I really fell in love with this image for the wave action and those seagulls just off that main seastack. I know the comp is not perfect but I just love the birds, wave and light As stated above the shot was taken at Bandon Beach, Oregon with an NOAA cloud cover prediction at 80%. Sometimes there wrong C and C welcome, take care
The only suggestion I have: I would probably try to lighten the right side of the image and maybe darken the highlights on the left side a bit with two (or more) digitial GND filters in LR, to get a more perfect balance between the left and the right side.
First I cannot help but say I like the splashes of light and I certainly would not try to darken the left side as suggested by Bob. I would actually think of going the other direction and slightly darkening everything except the area of light under the birds.
IMO, everything seems to work well in this image. You have nice separation on the main sea stacks, an interesting foreground, a sense of motion and a good composition. The birds and reflections add even more areas of interest.
Lately it seems that many landscapes on this forum have been pumped up with lots of saturation and heavy handed processing. Yours has great color but with a natural and subtle feeling. I think this is one of the best landscapes I have seen in quite a while. Of course, it also helps that I just love Bandon Beach.

I appreciate the suggestion. In the original file the light was coming from the left and the right was actually quite darker than is now. I played around with the luminosity on both sides and still like this version best. Thanks again.

I played around with luminosity darker as well before I ended up on this version. I feel its right were I want it for now. Thanks for the suggestions its always nice to have a fresh pair of eyes on this image
Brian,
Very cool composition and light. The birds add a nice sense of scale. The bottom right corner, especially the rock, look a tad dark to me, but that's my only nitpicking.

What a cool looking shot. Bandon is my favorite location on the whole Oregon coast, I can't wait to get back up there to see it again! I can see how you are excited about the shot, the cool water movement, and the seagulls especially add some cool life to the shot. Nice job.
