I'm in the market to buy a new Canon 600mm IS II and wanted to know if any FM'ers could suggest a store other than B&H or Adorama that would be willing to deal and give a good price. Is thinking at least match and possibly throw in free 2 day or overnight shipping
Allen's Camera would be a good alternative. I would also check out Profeel (PMI Digital). Allen would be the guy to talk to at Allen's Camera, and David would be the guy at Profeel.
Both Canon USA authorized dealers and 100% reputable.
Living just 30 minutes from Allen's, and having done a fair amount of business there, I'm constantly and pleasantly surprised by the geographic diversity of those who know and recommend the shop.
Not to complicate matters by giving a few more options, but I also received good pricing/quick shipping from Norman Camera in Michigan. Don't forget to check Amazon as well.
Try Berger Brothers camera on Long Island....Brad can get things quicker than anyone....I don't know how but he has gotten me hard to come by items when all the of the bigger outfits couldn't. I am just a happy/satisfied customer that's all!
