I need helpful ideas regarding processing these. They are just not there for me.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to edit and re-post.
Thanks for the help!
Ben
I increased the blacks in LR3, recovered some of the lights and recropped a couple of them. So far I'm too cheap to buy upload so you'll just have to take my word that they look better.
Well look on Flickr under "most interesting" cow photos and you'll find there are three main kinds - solitary side on photos (cow portraits) that look like they are for a country show, shots where cows are shown in an awesome setting or shots where cows are doing stuff that's interesting. Yours don't really tick any of those boxes. When I see your title "out on the range" I would expect that they are in an interesting place, under a big sky. Try to convey what it feels like to be there with them, not just what it looks like.

You can just use Photobucket for uploads here. It's free and it's what I use. Some use Flickr but I've not been able to upload here with that for some reason.
