Attended workshop with Joe McNally over the weekend. One of the assignments was to shoot outside with 1 light (speedlight) and a modifier of your choice. So our group of 3 ended up using a beauty dish+ that beehive looking thing on it with canon 600ex-rt controlled by canon 600 wr-rt
This was my first time using light modifiers and off camera flash
Location was the garage entrance overhead with natural light coming from the garage opening to the right.
This was my first time shooting with speedlight and modifier so it sucked initially as so many things were going thru my head, light position, model position, shutter speed etc etc etc.
I wanted to get that grunge look shots that you see on SI cover.
